Caitlin Ducey Ceramic Design
CDCD is the New York-based studio practice of Caitlin Ducey, an MFA-trained sculptor producing small-batch pieces that bridge contemporary design and ancient craft traditions.
SCOPE: Creative Direction / Brand Strategy / Brand Identity / Logo Design / Website Design / Website Development
PROJECT OVERVIEW: The visual identity and website for Caitlin Ducey Ceramic Design were designed to echo the quiet elegance of her ceramic work—intentional, refined, and rooted in subtlety. With a calm, muted palette and vintage-inspired typography, the design creates a gentle yet compelling frame that lets Caitlin’s pieces take center stage. Lo-fi marbled textures—drawn from her pigmenting techniques—add a tactile layer to both print and digital applications. Structured grids and thoughtful spacing lend an editorial feel, while the simplicity of the website allows for intuitive navigation and quiet discovery. The result is a timeless identity system that feels both grounded and expansive—an understated backdrop for work that speaks volumes.
